Behavior Management for Special Areas
This professional development session focuses on practical, effective behavior management techniques tailored for special area classrooms such as art, music, physical education, and technology. Participants will learn strategies to create positive learning environments, maintain student engagement, and address challenging behaviors in settings where routines and expectations differ from core classrooms. The session includes real-world examples, proactive approaches, and tools to support consistency and collaboration across the school.

NYSAA Moodle Training
This training will incorporate the Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) system to ensure the NYSAA ELA, Math & Science assessments. Each teacher will be trained on the various aspects of DLM and how to implement it within the NYSAA assessment. Every teacher administering the NYSAA will need to be trained in this software system.

Empowering Paraprofessionals in a Special Education Setting
This session is designed to empower paraprofessionals with practical skills and strategies for supporting students with disabilities. Participants will learn about their role in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), fostering independence, and promoting positive behavior. The training will cover effective communication, collaboration with teachers, and techniques for providing academic and social-emotional support. By the end of the session, paraprofessionals will have tools to enhance student engagement and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

MTSS and the Continuum
This professional development session provides an overview of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and its role in meeting diverse student needs. Participants will explore how MTSS aligns with special education services and learn about the continuum of settings—from general education classrooms to more specialized environments. The session emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and strategies for ensuring students receive appropriate support in the least restrictive environment.

Leveraging Assistive Technology to Promote Inclusion
This session provides educators and support staff with practical strategies for integrating assistive technology into learning environments. Participants will explore a range of tools designed to enhance accessibility and support diverse learners, including those with disabilities. The training includes hands-on demonstrations, best practices for implementation, and guidance on selecting appropriate technologies to meet individual student needs. By the end of the session, attendees will be equipped to leverage assistive technology to promote inclusion and improve educational outcomes.

Special Education Audits
Our Special Education Audit provides a targeted review, based on district priorities, of your special education programs, practices, and compliance. (i.e.
Disability classifications, Continuum of Services, IEP Development, CSE Process, Instruction (SDI, EI), Transition, Behavior Management) This service examines policies, procedures, and instructional delivery to ensure alignment with federal and state regulations, as well as best practices for supporting students with disabilities. The audit includes: data analysis, classroom observations, staff interviews, and referrals for Medicaid billing auditing. You team will have actionable recommendations to improve program effectiveness, enhance student outcomes, and maintain compliance.
- Dates: 3 sessions.
- Cost: $1,350 per person, per day. (Includes on-site and planning within reason)
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training
Crisis Prevention Intervention training is a structured, evidence-informed program that equips staff to recognize early signs of escalation, use supportive
communication, apply safe, non-coercive de‑escalation techniques, and—only when absolutely necessary— employ trauma‑aware, least‑restrictive physical safety interventions. The goal: prevent crises before they occur, reduce harm, protect dignity, and foster a safe, therapeutic environment across schools and workplace settings.
- Dates: Full day session
- Cost: $1,350/day for up to 16 participants (includes books for each participant)
Special Education Department Planning
Our Special Education Department Planning service helps schools and districts develop a clear, strategic roadmap for delivering high-quality special education programs. This service includes evaluating current structures, staffing, and resources; aligning practices with compliance requirements; and creating actionable plans to improve efficiency and student outcomes. We work collaboratively with leadership teams to set priorities, define roles, and implement systems that support inclusive education and continuous improvement.
- Dates: Half or full day sessions.
- Cost: $1,450/day (billed in half or full day increments)
Assistive Technology Evaluations
An Assistive Technology (AT) Evaluation is a comprehensive, person-centered assessment that identifies tools, strategies, and training required to reduce
barriers and enhance independence, communication, learning, productivity, and access. We evaluate the individual’s abilities, environments, and tasks
to recommend the most appropriate assistive technology solutions—ranging from low-tech adaptations to advanced hardware/software—along with a practical plan for implementation.
- Dates: Full day session
- Cost: $1,350/day
