Middle and High School ELA Teacher Consortium
Audience: Middle and High School ELA Teachers
Description: As a member of this consortium, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other ELA teachers on topics relevant to teaching English in high school including the implementation of the Next Generation Learning Standards, the exploration of research and evidence based best practices and strategies surrounding reading and writing instruction.
This cohort will meet four times during the 2025-2026 school year to share strategies that support these topics, curriculum, and instruction. The BOCES Coordinator will set an initial agenda, but the cohort will set subsequent agendas and the groups' needs and interests will shape the meeting's content. Teachers should be ready to share their expertise and experiences and be open to adding to their capacities as a high school ELA teacher.
